This year’s Great Race was heavy on the Fords. It’s the 80th anniversary of the “Duece”, so there were a lot of ’32s, but there were also Model As, 1930s vintage Fords, like this ’36 Fordor owned by Jim and Louise Feeney that I believe has always been a police car, which finished fourth in the rally, and one Model T. There were also a lot of century old Hudson based speedsters – apparently they are durable for their age and popular with the vintage car rally set. This gleaming, polished metal 1917 Hudson owned by Gary Kuck was the first of the Hudsons to arrive at the final checkpoint.
