Back in 2008, just to show that an American can draw Ferraris too, designer Ron Will prepared a series of three concepts based on existing Ferraris and had a meeting planned with Andrea Pininfarina, who headed the design studio that does most of Ferrari’s styling, to show him the renderings. To drive the point home, the cars were rendered in red, white and blue. We’ve already posted Ron’s 599 based shooting brake concept in blue. I’m guessing that since the original 1957 pontoon fendered 250 TR is such an iconic Italian car that’s the reason why Ron colored his modern retro version in rossa red. Unfortunately, Pinin Farina’s grandson was killed in a traffic accident just before the planned meeting and he never got to see Will’s designs. Ron’s graciously made them available to Cars In Depth for our readers’ enjoyment.
