Because it was one of the original 16 Hot Wheels die cast models, reissued many times since then, as well as being offered as popular plastic model kits, the Dodge Deora may just well be the most famous custom truck ever. While you can see a Deora at just about any store that sells toys, you rarely get a chance to see the Deora, the actual Dodge A-100 based vehicle. Even rarer is the chance to see the real Deora driven. The Alexander Brothers, Detroit’s leading car customizers and builders, were known for solid engineering – all their show cars were drivers. While I wouldn’t want to take it cross-country or commute with it, as you can see as its current owner motors up the long driveway from the gatehouse to the main residence at the Edsel Ford estate, it’s a fully functioning motor vehicle. I’m fairly certain that this is the only 3D video of the Deora being driven.
