This 1948 Ford based firetruck says that it’s from the OWL Fire Department and it wears 1948 Michigan license plates, but I can find no town in Michigan named Owl. There is, however an O.W.L.V.F.D, the Occoquan Woodbridge Lorton (OWL) Volunteer Fire Department that provides firefighting services in Prince William County, Virginia. It’s one of the largest volunteer fire departments in the country and it dates to 1938.
