2011 Detroit Autorama in 3D: Cars From the 1930s

Continuing our chronological review of the 2011 Detroit Autorama, here are the cars from the 1930s. It seems the most popular decades for car customizers are the 1930s and 1950s, which makes sense if you think about the ’32 ford and the ’57 Chevy. With Harley Earl at General Motors and Bob Gregoire and his patron Edsel Ford, the 30s were when the automobile industry got serious about styling. Earl loved show cars. and Gregoire made customs for Edsel so if they could see what today’s customizers are capable of doing, I think they’d be impressed.
