The word “eclectic” doesn’t quite do justice to Myron Vernis’ car collection because it surely is the most extensive collection of unusual and oddball cars in the world. As you might imagine, Myron regularly attends the Orphan Car Show held in the fall in Ypsilanti, Michigan and he always brings something that you’re not likely to see in this country. Two years ago he brought his Isuzu 117 XC coupe and last year he brought his Citroen CX 25 TRI. Fortunately the pulley driving the Citroen’s complicated hydraulic system lost its mounting bolts. I say fortunately because it gave me a chance to hang out with Myron and his family while he fixed it. Mrs. Vernis, Kim, acted as a parts chaser and managed to find a shop open that had metric hardware. Myron and Kim’s cars are all drivers and they had to fix it if they wanted to get back home to Akron.

"...I've been over to Cars In Depth on many occasions. Barring the whole 3D thing which drives me up the wall (that's a personal thing, though), I like the content, the writing, and the simple formatting. You do a great job over there, and I am impressed."
