Debbie Reynold’s auction of her huge collection of one-of-a-kind Hollywood costumes, props and memorabilia took place last weekend. One of the items up for auction was a Model T used by comedians Laurel & Hardy in their movies with Hal Roach. They were pretty hard on the Ts, so this is quite a survivor besides having the provenance of Hollywood. Predicted to sell for $20,000 to $30,000, it exceeded expectations and went for $42,000, not counting the buyer’s fee to the auction house.
