One of the featured classes at the ’11 Concours of America was historic Indy 500 racers and we’ll be celebrating those cars this weekend. To start out with, here is some video of the 2001 Indianapolis 500 winning Penske team car as it was towed off the show field. It’s a Dallara chassis with an Oldsmobile racing engine, and it was piloted to victory at Indy by Helio Castroneves. If I’m not mistaken that was the last (only?) time that a car powered by an Oldsmobile branded engine won at Indianapolis.
