One of the things that make Detroit car events special is the participation of people who designed, built and sold the cars in those events. It’s fun to get the real skinny on how a special interest (or mundane) car came to be. On the Wednesday before the Woodward Dream Cruise, the folks who work and have worked for GM Design held a parade of their own cars down Woodward to the Northwood shopping center where they had a car show. Fortunately I got there just in time to shoot video of the cars as they arrived at their destination. One of the drawbacks to car shows is that the cars are usually static, just sitting there. The nice thing about the Dream Cruise and related events is that you can often see the cars in motion.
