We’ll get to the Lingenfelter Collection’s Camaros, Corvettes, Ferraris and other exotic performance cars in time but first some “regular” Chevrolets. Of course in a collection of high performance cars of this caliber, “regular” is a relative term. As with the other cars in the collection these are rare cars, with legendary monikers like “Yenko” and “COPO” and powerful engine options. There were lots of “SS” badges. There are two SS Novas, a sinister looking black big block 396 version and a red small block powered SS 350. There are Chevelles in both Yenko and COPO varieties, a SS 454 El Camino with cowl induction and a very nice looking SS 454 first generation Monte Carlo. There’s also a LPE powered Chevy SSR pickup, a full custom 1950s Chevy pickup and a red custom rod that Ken Lingenfelter called a “daily driver”.
