Local car dealers have the best commercials. Rhett & Link, a couple of comedians, musicians and filmmakers, agree. They currently produce a reality tv show with them traveling around the country, visiting small towns and then developing and producing funny commercials for local businesses using local talent.
When they discovered that TDM Auto Sales, a used car lot in High Point, North Carolina, had a salesman named Rudy who was a refugee from Cuba, where he had been a gynecologist, Rhett & Link realized that they had comedic and advertising gold on their hands. Rudy’s Cuban accent is so heavy that without subtitles you might not be able to make out what he says. I think it’s hilarious and I’d be shocked if it didn’t boost TDM’s sales. The video has been viewed over a million times on YouTube.
