Cars In Depth is happy to welcome our newest contributor, Toni Avery. Toni says she has two loves, writing and cars. Her LinkedIn profile describes her specialties as “writing, racing, drivng, cleaning, showing, knowing about cars”. A senior at Cal State – Northridge, Toni is a third generation Jaguar enthusiast who helped her father restore his ’65 E-Type coupe to concours condition. Literally. The car recently won best-in-class honors at the 2011 Ocean Avenue show. Toni also knows her way around a race car and a race track, with a number of certificates from the Skip Barber and Lotus Performance Driving schools. Hmmm. Jaguar and Lotus. Toni should fit in just fine around here. Most recently she got to take a BMW M3 around the famed Laguna Seca track. Based in the Los Angeles area, Toni will be increasing our geographic diversity as well as giving Cars In Depth a needed woman’s voice and perspective on things automotive. Of course we don’t want to pigeonhole her into being our token “female writer”. Like all our contributors, Toni will be saying what she wants to say, how she wants to say it. Please join me in giving her a warm welcome.
What folks are saying:
"...I've been over to Cars In Depth on many occasions. Barring the whole 3D thing which drives me up the wall (that's a personal thing, though), I like the content, the writing, and the simple formatting. You do a great job over there, and I am impressed."
