The new Lincoln MKZ was one of the more pleasant surprises of the ’12 NAIAS. Nobody really expected Lincoln to give the new MKZ different enough sheet metal to distinguish it from the all new Ford Fusion, also introduced at the NAIAS this year, but they did. The MKZ has an entirely different greenhouse than the Fusion. The rear end styling in particular was praised, and Ford VP of styling J. Mays said that you won’t be able to spot any differences between the concept and the production MKZ, which will go on sale later this year.
