Chicago’s McCormick Place convention center is huge, about a million and a half square feet of floor space. Enough space for Toyota and Chrysler to set up indoor driving tracks so that show visitors can actually go for a ride on the show floor. To demonstrate the capabilities of the Jeep line, Chrysler built a rather extreme “off-road” track, complete with boulders, tree stumps, ramps that flip the Jeeps halfway on their sides, and a 35 degree hill climb.
