2012 Detroit Autorama: Great Eight Ridler Award Finalist:
Alexander Brothers’ “Vision 33” 1933 Ford Roadster

Some of the Great Eight finalists are newcomers to the Ridler competition. The people behind this 1933 Ford roadster have been to the Detroit Autorama before, to say the least. The license plate reads “A Bros”, for the Alexander Brothers, custom car royalty. Larry and Mike Alexander have won the Ridler twice as well as having designed two of the most famous customs ever, the Hot Wheels Deora (while they were working for Dodge), and the car known as the Beach Boys’ Little Deuce Coupe. If the Alexander Bros. are not enough provenance, “Vision 33” was drawn by Chip Foose and based on an American Speed body.
