We just showed you a full size pink Corvette a la Barbie. Now here’s a real live doll, Katie Haddad with her fire engine (actually, torch) red 2000 Corvette. It’s not her only cool car, she’s also got a custom ’07 Mustang and a ’05 Police Interceptor Crown Vic, and while Katie is pretty enough to work as a model and actress, including at the NAIAS, she’s not just a pretty face. She told me that she did almost all of the mechanical work on her show-winning Mustang herself including an engine rebuild. The Corvette, though, was bought as is, because she wanted a car strictly for show – or maybe because she had some really cute red outfits that matched the car. Actually, though she has a red truck and a red trailer to haul the red Corvette around, and while her Mustang is lime green and orange, her favorite color is blue. She says that her next Mustang will be “grabber blue”.

"...I've been over to Cars In Depth on many occasions. Barring the whole 3D thing which drives me up the wall (that's a personal thing, though), I like the content, the writing, and the simple formatting. You do a great job over there, and I am impressed."
