Can You Identify These Engines?

While going through the automotive stereographs taken by the Keystone View company, I came across a couple images of engines being tested but I can’t identify them. They appear to be V8s but the photos have no identifying information or dates other than saying that they were taken in Detroit. They’re fairly early, since both engines have separate crankcases and cylinders. They may be pre World War One, because both engines have primer cup petcocks, common to brass era automobiles.
