Following up on our post about Gordon Buehrig’s invention of the styling bridge, we’ll be running a couple of pieces on Buehrig’s masterpiece, the 1936 Cord 810 and the ’37 Cord 812. Here are the various Cord hardtops that I’ve shot over the past year and a half or so.

These Cords were photographed at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Car Museum in Auburn, Indiana. As you’d expect, they’re particularly nice Cords, including Errett Lobban Cord’s personal 812 sedan, donated to the museum by Cord’s family.
